Situated amidst the breathtaking Peak District views, the cottage is a delightful property that’s a great choice for getting a real flavour of rural life. Explore the nearby pretty market town of Bakewell with its many shops and cafes, or head to the historical spa town of Buxton for a spot of culture in the town’s opera house, or one of its show caverns.
The cottage layout hinges on an open-plan lounge-diner design with exposed stone walls and wooden beams that add to the charm. There is an inviting log burning stove which gives the space a welcoming vibe that’s perfect for those cosy nights in. The lounge also contains a sofa bed for occasional use. There is a kitchen equipped with all the necessities that guests require, and a table that’s perfect for intimate dining. A bathroom is located on this floor too. Upstairs there is a mezzanine level with exposed wood beams that create an inviting ambience to this delightful bedroom. There are double beds and skylights that add brightness to space.
Outside there are a wealth of pretty gardens, check out the beautiful Japanese garden, a kitchen garden and a pond, all of which are nestled in the five acres of grounds that surround the cottage. Chickens roam around like lords through the gardens and add to the countryside charm of the property. There is a delightful seating area is just perfect for relaxing and drinking in the beauty of the surrounds in the evening after a good day walking.
Dogs fees are charged per dog at £20.00 for up to 7 nights, £40.00 for up to 14 nights and an additional £20.00 for every week or the part week thereafter.
