About the cottage
The Milk House has many features, like the beamed ceilings, fantastic stonework and lovely oak flooring. Spread out over three floors, and you have four large bedrooms and three bathrooms.
Sleeps 8 guests and the good news is you can take your dog with you. You can bring two well-behaved dogs along with you and enjoy some quality time together.
The Kitchen is well-equipped and will have everything you need for your stay. Enjoy breakfast and evening meal time together in the spacious seating area. Or renege in the stylish living room. In the winter, the wood-burning stove is lovely to sit by and read your favourite book. It comes with instructions and a starter pack to get you going. So, don’t worry!
Wi-Fi is available at the cottage so you can keep up with all the news and social activities if you wish.
Outside the cottage
The views at this property are amazing you can see for miles over the village of Wirksworth. It’s a perfect location to sit and chill in the garden with a glass of wine watching the world go by. Or if you prefer a lovely cuppa tea in the morning and evenings. The patio garden here is fully enclosed so no worries about the dogs getting out. There is a BBQ area for you to try your hand at cooking on. Also, garden furniture to relax on.
About the location
Wirksworth is right on your doorstep it has pubs, shops and restaurants to visit. The village is self-dates back to the 19th century and has lots of charm and beauty. Make sure you visit the little markets and get a feel of how village life is really like.
You have plenty of dog walking trails all around you, walk in any direction, and you will be upon them. If you like cycling, there are also several cycle routes dotted around.
Are you interested in water sports? Wellhead over to Carsington waters and there is plenty to do from water sailing, windsurfing, kayaking and much more. Also, there are shops and play areas for the young ones.
Six miles away, you have the town of Matlock. You can’t stay here and not visit Matlock it’s a lovely place. You can ride the cable cars to the top looking out over the Derwent Valleys at the very top is the visitor centre, cave tours and the most beautiful views around.
